„Venom 3” și o continuare a „Ghostbusters: Afterlife”, în lucru la Sony

Hardy and Harrelson prepare for a monstrous battle of the symbiotes in the new trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage, set to arrive in theaters on September 24, 2021. The new flick, directed by Andy Serkis, follows the 2018 Venom film, and the trailer finds Hardy’s character, Eddie Brock, and his symbiote Venom maintaining a somewhat peaceful co-existence. There’s a 'No Eating People' sign in the apartment and Venom appears happy enough to cook breakfast for the pair, although not without nearly destroying their home. That peace, however, is ripe for disruption with the introduction of the serial killer Cletus Kasady — played by Woody Harrelson — who soon becomes the host for Venom’s arch-nemesis, Carnage. He transforms into the monster, which looks like Venom's uglier brother, after being given lethal injection in prison. The trailer boasts an ominous monologue from Kasady, who promises plenty of impending chaos, which the trailer teases with some wild snippets of Carnage and Venom’s inevitable confrontation. Sony Pictures a dat undă verde pentru o a treia parte a francizei „Venom”, condusă de Tom Hardy, în urma succesului înregistrat în box office anul trecut de „Venom: Let There Be Carnage” (502 milioane de dolari la nivel global) și în 2018 de „Venom” (856 de milioane de dolari).

Studioul de producție a anunțat, de asemenea, planuri pentru un alt film „Ghostbusters”, care va servi ca o continuare a peliculei lansate în 2021 „Ghostbusters: Afterlife”, ce a avut încasări de 200 de milioane de dolari la nivel mondial, potrivit Variety.

Sony și-a dezvăluit planurile pentru ambele continuări la CinemaCon, târgul comercial anual dedicat proprietarilor de cinematografe, organizat la Las Vegas. Deși studioul nu a făcut public niciun alt detaliu despre cele două filme, a dezvăluit că ele sunt în lucru.

Anunțul a venit sub forma unui mash-up reel, care a inclus imagini din filmul despre viața lui Whitney Houston „I Wanna Dance With Somebody”, din „Kraven the Hunter”, „The Equalizer 3 ” și „Un bărbat pe nume Otto.”
