Duffy, preferata britanicilor la Brit Awards 2009

Cantareata Duffy a luat trei premii la Gala Brit Awards 2009. A fost pe departe favorita publicului.

Cantareata galeza a luat premii pentru: "Cel mai bun album" – "Rockferry", care s-a vandut in aproape cinci milioane de unitati pe plan mondial. Al doilea premiu Brit Awards a fost pentru "Cea mai buna cantareata britanica" si cel de-al treilea premiu pentru "Cel mai bun debut".

Drept multumire, Duffy a interpretat piesa "Warrick Avenue", live cu o mini-orchestra.

Brit Awards sunt versiunea britanica a premiilor Grammy.

Kayne West a luat premiul pentru "Cel mai bun interpret international". Deoarece nu a putut ajunge la festivitatea de premiere, el a lasat inregistrat un mesaj video: "Barack este cel mai cool mulatru. Sunt bucuros ca am luat premiul pentru cel mai bun cantaret international".

"Cea mai buna interpreta internationala" a fost Katy Perry, datorita piesei "I kissed a girl".

In cadrul spectacolului, U2 a interpretat melodia "Get on your boots", primul single de pe cel mai recent album intitulat "No line on the horizon".

 

 

Coldplay a primit patru nominalizari la Brit Awards si a incantat publicul cu melodia "Viva la Vida".
